The State Office of Human Resources (OHR) announced a state employee PerksCard discount program during a press conference on May 4, State Employee Recognition Day. National Public Service Recognition Week is May 2-8.

At this time, all employees in FTE, temporary-grant, and time-limited positions are eligible to participate in the PerksCard discount program. Temporary employees are not yet included among those eligible for the program, but should be added in June. The University's initial allocation of cards fell short of our current number of eligible employees and it will be June before additional cards are available.

There is no charge for eligible employees to participate in the program. Eligible employees must register at www.perkscard.com using the card code and then search for participating local vendors.

The University requests that you please use your personal e-mail account when registering your PerksCard. Employees who do not have internet access can register by telephone.

National discounts are available from vendors such as Lowe’s, Blockbuster Video, AMMCO transmissions, AVIS, and Reebok Outlet Stores. There also is an online Perks Store from which purchases can be made at savings up to 33 percent.
