The Division of Human Resources strongly encourages departments to conduct criminal background checks on all prospective employees, particularly for those persons being hired into positions dealing with students or handling University assets.

A statewide criminal background check can be requested by completing the Criminal Background Check form. The cost to conduct the search through the State Law Enforcement Division is $25 per person.
