Relay South Carolina (RSC) is a free service that provides full telephone accessibility to people who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind and speech-disabled. This service allows text-telephone (TTY) users to communicate with standard telephone users through trained relay operators.

Relay South Carolina offers Spanish and English relay services. TTY users can type in Spanish and the conversations will be relayed in Spanish or they can request Spanish to English or English to Spanish translation.

To receive relay assistance, please call 7-1-1. If you need Spanish relay services, let the relay operator know how you want your call to be translated.

  • Dual Career Employment Services

Attracting and retaining exceptional employees often depends on meeting the needs of dual career couples. When recruiting faculty and administrative staff to the University of South Carolina, it has become increasingly important to consider the needs of the partner. A partner’s employment opportunities can be a critical component of a candidate's decision to accept a job offer on the Columbia campus.

The Division of Human Resources provides a new service to aid academic and administrative units that need to identify career opportunities for an accompanying partner. This service offers a much needed benefit to our campus community while also offering local businesses direct access at no cost to a unique pool of highly trained and experienced individuals.
