Appropriate casual dress is attire that is suitable to conduct University business and to interact with the public as an employee representing the University. Appropriate casual dress specifically excludes short shorts, bare feet, halter tops, torn jeans, torn tee shirts, and the like.

The University has observed Casual Dress Fridays since 1993. This practice affects all employees, except those required to wear uniforms in the performance of their jobs.
