Budget Development for "A" Funds This introductory session provides participants with the tools needed to successfully develop an "A" fund budget. Topics will include the definition and purpose of a budget, an overview of the State's and USC-Columbia's internal budget development processes, overview of the resources and uses components of the "A" fund budget, and examples of recommended best practices for developing line-item budgets for these components. The session will also include general information on how to use the University's financial reporting system (Data Warehouse) to develop and monitor budgets. Who Should Attend Date and Time Participants should arrive to sign-in at 8:45 a.m. Instruction will begin at 9 a.m. Cost Location and Parking Campus parking is available with any faculty/staff decal in the lower lot behind the 1600 Hampton Street Annex. The entrance to the parking lot is between the 1600 Hampton Street tower and the WACH-57 building on Pickens Street.
