  • EPMS for Supervisors
    (Employee Performance Management System)

    The Employee Performance Management System (EPMS) is used to evaluate the performance of classified state employees. This workshop will offer supervisors instruction on the use of EPMS as a communication tool to set objectives and evaluate employee performance. Supervisors receive hands-on experience writing performance standards and in administering appropriate discipline procedures. This workshop is a "must" for all supervisors and a prerequisite for all other management development workshops. Participants will learn how to:

    • write performance plans for your employees
    • clearly define performance objectives
    • evaluate employee performance
    • seek the support of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    • address problem behaviors with employees.

    Who Should Attend
    All supervisors of classified employees who have not had EPMS training must attend. New supervisors are contacted directly and scheduled individually for this session.

    For morning sessions, participants should arrive to sign-in at 8:45 a.m. Instruction will begin at 9 a.m.

    For afternoon sessions, participants should arrive to sign-in at 1:15 p.m. Instruction will begin at 1:30 p.m.

    Cost
    There is no charge for this workshop.

    Location and Parking
    1600 Hampton Street, Suite 101.

    Campus parking is available with any faculty/staff decal in the lower lot behind the 1600 Hampton Street Annex. The entrance to the parking lot is between the 1600 Hampton Street tower and the WACH-57 building on Pickens Street.
