Purchasing Liaison Update

This workshop is designed for Purchasing card liaisons who need a refresher to stay abreast of the correct procedures in managing an effective card program for their department. It will equip liaisons with the tools to establish a cohesive system to monitor and track cardholder transactions. During this workshop, participants will learn:

  • how to effectively manage a purchasing card program to satisfy audit requirements, including receipt collection, records retention, and maintenance of up-to-date account information
  • to use EAGLS (Expense Account General Ledger System) to monitor accounts online
  • resolve disputed charges and handle lost or stolen cards
  • how to "transfer" purchasing cards when a cardholder changes departments at the University
  • how to comply with new departmental compliance procedures and fiscal year-end requirements.

Who Should Attend
Departmental liaisons who need to have a more thorough understanding of the responsibilities and accountability requirements in their role and for those who want a refresher in current policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Participants should arrive to sign-in at 8:45 a.m. Instruction will begin at 9 a.m.

There is no charge for this workshop.

Location and Parking

Campus parking is available with any faculty/staff decal in the lower lot behind the 1600 Hampton Street Annex. The entrance to the parking lot is between the 1600 Hampton Street tower and the WACH-57 building on Pickens Street.
