Receiving Medical Treatment
You must receive medical treatment for work related injuries at the medical facility designated for your campus.

  • USC Columbia
    Thomson Student Health Center
behind the Russell House, Greene Street

  • USC School of Medicine
    USC Family Practice Center
    Palmetto Health Richland
3209 Colonial Drive (corner of Colonial and Sunset)

  • Other USC Campuses
Contact your campus Human Resource Office for a local designated medical facility.

If the injury occurs when the designated facility is closed, or if the injury is serious, employees in Columbia should go to the Palmetto Health Richland Emergency Room while employees on other campuses should go to emergency room nearest their location.

Once treatment has begun, you may not see a new doctor unless you are referred by the original treating doctor, or with the approval of the State Accident Fund.
